Om Mani Padme Hum
A powerful spiritual mantra connected with Avolokiteshvara, the Bodhisattva of Compassion. The most commonly used mantra in Tibetan Buddhism.
In the 20+ hours it took to create this painting, the mantra was repeated continuously hundreds of times. The painting emerged out of the mantra and contains the energy of the mantra within it. The entire painting was covered with brush paintings of the mantra in English letters. The middle section was painted over to make room for the painting of the Tibetan characters.

About Peter Cutler
