Artist's Description
Dragon Wakes Up was a gift. I found it lying on the beach, an old weathered paper towel already returning to its source. The dragon was very clear, its tail, eyes, mouth, and ears. An artist is simply someone who has not stopped seeing the miracles we all see as children. I saw this one and brought it back to my studio to photograph, just as you see it. I wondered how an ordinary man-made object can be transformed into a beautiful organic form like this one. It taught me how to create my own organic artwork out of simple paper towels, just as nature and time did to create this beautiful miracle.
